Hello, I'm James Rodriguez.
I design high-detail digital sculpts and CAD models for fabrication in animatronics, puppets, scenic elements, and medical simulation.

Medical Simulation Design
At TacMed Solutions, my work focuses on the design of highly detailed anatomical forms for advanced medical simulation and trauma training. Each component is digitally sculpted and engineered for realism, durability, and efficient production, optimized for silicone casting, 3D printing, and hands-on clinical use.
Puppets and Props
As a contractor for Wickid of Oz Studio, I contributed to the design and fabrication of puppets and props for the upcoming Stan Original series Gnomes. I worked under renowned special effects artists Justin Dix (Star Wars: Episode III – Attack of the Clones, The Babadook) and Don Bies (Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, War of the Worlds), supporting their team in bringing fantastical concepts to life through digital sculpting and practical design.
Animatronics & Scenic Elements
At LifeFormations, I contributed to the sculpting of animatronic characters and scenic elements for attractions at Disney, Universal, and other major destinations. My work centered on developing detailed organic forms and hard-surface parts prepared for 3D printing and molding. I collaborated closely with mechanical, costuming, and finishing teams to ensure seamless translation from digital models to physical production.
Freelance Sculpting & 3D Modeling
Through Upwork, I completed a range of freelance projects including tabletop gaming figures, capsule toys, and stylized characters. I partnered with clients to deliver detailed, print-ready sculpts tailored for 3D printing and small-scale production workflows.
